Farrington Appraisals is experienced in the analysis of industrial, apartment, office and retail property types and further specializes in income producing properties, proposed construction, medical uses and development land.
Company President Michelle Farrington is a licensed Certified General Appraiser in the State of Indiana (CG#49400016), is current with required continuing education, and is in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. The Farrington Appraisal team includes a staff of market research specialists who scour the market to confirm the latest sales and leasing information. Years of detailed market research has generated an extensive company database of local and regional market data extending over the last few decades, critical in identifying trends and doing retroactive valuations.
Michelle Farrington was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, with a strong work ethic and a solid academic background. Her college education was completed at Indiana University South Bend and includes a Bachelor of Science in Business, with a concentration in marketing and management. After college she worked statewide as a marketing coordinator for a long-term health care provider. Michelle subsequently worked for a local commercial real estate appraisal and development company for about 10 years as Vice President and Senior Commercial Appraiser. She started Farrington Appraisals in 1996, and continues to expand her skills, experience, knowledge, and client base as an independent fee commercial and industrial real estate appraiser. Michelle has been active with the Appraisal Institute, serving the local branch chapter in various leadership roles over the years.
